Echoes from the footfalls of a roaming and curious creature,
Journey riding through the Cascadian landscape.
Nourished by kindliness and grace,
encountered both this way and that.
One path, teeming with countless bends,
convergences and crossings.
A nod, a breath…having fun.
Time colours experiences and past creations in a special kind of way.
Lots has changed, little has changed, and everything in-between.
This website helps keep track of some of that.
PsychoNotArt started in 2007 as a website dedicated to presenting artwork made by some good friends. Over time, it had expanded to encapsulate an operating indie-label for music and a breeding ground for some mind-bending artwork and design. The central premise focused around a belief that lo-fi need notmean low quality. Experimentation and a D.I.Y. attitude were, and continue to be, at the nucleus.
The site has simplified since that time, but the experiences and lessons learned have been a delight. The current state is a bit more tidy, but the goal of having fun with the creation process remains. Whether it’s considered “art”. … or “NotArt”… will always be up to the beholder – take from it what you want.
